Mission Statement: We are a diverse, intentional, inclusive, compassionate, hope-filled Christian family of faith, seeking to respect everyone’s individuality and dignity as Jesus modelled, creating safe space, to demonstrate the spirit of God’s love through worship, work, growth, and respect for all creation. We celebrate and value people of every age, health, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family configuration, background, ability, interest, culture, economic circumstance and faith journey. All are encouraged to be in full participation in the life and work of all ministries. We endeavor to be aware of, and responsive to, the needs in our community and beyond.

Important message from the Mission Board

We are sorry to announce that Gregory Phillips has advised the board of Dunsford United Church that he intends to break the contract we currently have with him for the services of Treasurer. We wish to thank Greg for his hard work getting our books set up on a new system and providing excellent bookkeeping services for us since 2018. Greg has assured us that he will continue in his role until the end of this year and provide the year-end reports for 2020. We are sad to see him go and wish him well in his future endeavors.

We will now be actively recruiting for a Treasurer which will be a paid position. If you yourself, or someone you know has accounting or bookkeeping experience that would work well in this role, we invite you to contact the church office or a board member. Please provide contact information so that we can forward more details when a job description becomes available.

Yours in Christ, Carol Embury

Now that our church has reopened, our DUC Wednesday and Sunday morning Zoom chats have been discontinued. We thank Christena-Lynn, Brian and Sharon who have all acted as hosts for the meetings and Brenda for providing music on Sundays. Zoom is a great way to connect virtually and we enjoyed our chats with everyone! Thank you for participating.

Greetings from Sharon

Glory to God in Praise! Thank-you to all for making our first in-person gathering a gift to remember. We so appreciate your patience as we continue to figure things out and we are so grateful for all the helping hands to support this transformational time.

Options for connecting with our worship include: in-person in sanctuary, in-person in the hall viewing on TV, Zoom meeting joining by internet, device or phone-in, email distribution of transcript and Canada Post mail distribution. Coming soon we hope will be posting on YouTube for watch any time convenience.

Please share your feedback with us.

We are excited that Brenda and Cliff will offer our gathering music on Sunday as we praise the Lord with the Sound of Trumpet. Our children’s time brings a message of believing in ourselves and knowing we are special, beloved children of God with the Butterfly Song. We’ll be blessed by a solo from Brenda and Christena-Lynn and Brenda will share in singing the final two pieces of music. The message is: “Mana, Management and Majesty!” Be blessed however you connect with us.

If you are unsure about protocols or what is needed to connect in any form of worship participation, please call.

Please reach out if you might like a listening ear to catch-up, to ponder the present and future and share your stories of these six months. God has not brought us this far to leave us and we look forward to continued opportunities of transformation and feasting.

I hope you will contact me so we can do some visiting and connecting with you by phone, text, email, in-person pre-arranged visits on your porch or at our gardens.

Be blessed to be a blessing!

Stay safe and stay well.
