Dunsford Food Bank

Under the capable direction of volunteer leaders, our community food bank is a reflection of loving God and loving people through our neighbourhood outreach.

Our local food bank operates thanks to generous donations and is supported by the Kawartha Food Source with our services being operated fully by volunteers. The food bank is located in the basement of Dunsford United Church.

Those in need should call Dunsford United Church to contact our food bank co-ordinators to learn about the qualifying process.

Extending the hands and feet of Christ, food is shared the second and fourth Thursday

People within the church provide support through financial donations, donations of products, donations of time and prayer for clients who use the food bank.

Non-perishable food items, clean, empty jars, grocery bags  and “extras” always welcomed.  Check our News from the Pews weekly newsletters for any urgent needs, special requests and additional outreaches.

Sharing of “ gently used“ “extras” from the shelves such as: clothing, coats, hats, mitts, shoes, boots, books, toys,   Small household and personal items available to those who might need them.

Financial donations can be made by designating “food bank” as part of your Par offering or on weekly offering envelope or by special donation marked “food bank.”
