Greetings from Sharon,
Well, the week has flown by as we now sit at day nine of our self-isolation in Nova Scotia. Everyone continues to be safe and healthy. How blessed we are to live where we are and have so much abundance.
There were 17 in-person attendees at the Thanksgiving/Anniversary service October 11, at Dunsford United, and I was very pleased to join by Zoom. It is still so cool to know I can connect livestream and be part of service at home. Our guest worship leader, Nancy Payne did a marvelous job with a beautiful and compelling theme of thanksgiving for Thanksgiving weekend and for every day.
We look forward to welcoming Kevin Fitzpatrick to lead worship the next three Sundays at Dunsford United, assuming public health or the province does not change its recommendations, as we continue to battle this second wave.
Thanks for all of your efforts to stay safe and stay well, by staying home as much as you can, and prioritizing what is essential for you. We had hoped we would not have to be working to flatten the curve again, as we hear of challenging numbers in our province and other places in Canada. We will get through this together!
We are mindful of World Food Day October 16, a reminder that there are so many places in our world where food sufficiency was a daily challenge even before COVID-19. Thank-you for all actions relating to food resources locally, nationally and globally.
Remembrance Day Reminders
Our Remembrance Day service is Sunday November 8 at 10:00 A.M. Please send photos to the church office, so C L can include them in the PowerPoint slides. She needs any submissions by November 4.
